Research
In 1508, Leonardo da Vinci started studying the human eye and carried out several experiments with tiny panes of glass. This same spirit of inventiveness lives on in the Appenzellerland region, embodied by M'hamed Bouhlal and Bernd Brückner. We keep up with the rapid pace of technological development, staying abreast of the latest scientific insights, which we then implement for our products in our lab. We remain focused on innovation for we know the future always holds surprises, and that a revolution in contact lenses could be just around the corner.
Production
Contact lens production is highly automated, yet geared to the needs of our clients. “Made in Switzerland” – manufacturing and quality control take place exclusively at our facility in Speicher, in the heart of the Appenzellerland region. With materials it’s the same: no compromises. Cooperating with well-known, global materials suppliers, we are able to guarantee that our products are made of the highest quality materials.
Development
Managing director M'hamed Bouhlal ensures that our research results flow directly into the development of new, innovative contact lens products. M’hamed and our team of specialists deploy their entire experience and know-how, experiments around until they get a wholly satisfactory outcome. For example: new lens designs for presbyopia. And for myopia. Our R&D keeps us aligned with market requirements as we make a key contribution to good vision throughout society.
Technology
We utilise cutting-edge technology in our production processes, enabling us to make invisible visual aids for virtually any vision defect. While ensuring the reproducibility of the lenses you order. This means that whenever you reorder, you get exactly the same lenses you got from us last time. The machinery we have deployed at our production site in Speicher is engineered by highly experienced firms. This machinery supports settings on the nano scale, affording maximum precision in the contact lens cutting process.
